MI INVITES CAMBODIAN & VIETNAMESE NATIONALS FOR TECH & INNOVATION POLICY WORKSHOP

Mekong Institute (MI), with the support of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, is organizing the Consultation Workshop on Technology and Innovation Policy Development in the Lancang-Mekong Region on November 18-20 at MI Residential Training Center in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Full scholarships will be provided to 10 participants from Cambodia and Vietnam.
The consultation workshop aims to assess the challenges encountered by the respective governments in areas of technology and innovation policy development in the Lancang-Mekong Region. To do so, it will cover an overview of the region’s policy landscape and its issues through a series of presentations and group discussions. It will also identify the prioritized policies to be focused on at the initial stage alongside specific assistance needed. The findings gathered from the workshop will be utilized to tailor a capacity development program which effectively responds to the needs of the riparian countries.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The program is designed for senior officials directly dealing with technology and innovation policy development as well as experts working on policy development/policy recommendation in the region. Please note that five (5) participants will be selected from each of the two countries mentioned.
