MI Opens 3rd Call for Proposals under Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund

Mekong Institute invites government and non-government organizations, academic institutions and training institutes from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand (CLMVT) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to submit proposals for funding support by the Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF).

Established in 2013, the Fund provides grant to projects that are regional in nature and aligned with the development priorities of the Mekong countries and the Republic of Korea to address national issues that facilitate the regional integration process. Proposals are accepted for initiatives along the MKCF’s six priority sectors: (1) infrastructure; (2) information, communication and technology; (3) green growth; (4) water resource development; (5) agriculture and rural development; and (6) human resource development.

ELIGIBILITY OF PROPONENT:

  • Government agencies/autonomous organizations from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand (CLMVT) and organizations from the ROK
  • Non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and training institutes from CLMVT and the ROK
  • Experience in implementing development projects for at least 5 years

Proponents are requested to submit a Project Concept Paper that contains all required documents. The Project Concept Paper should be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (see Guidelines for Submission) of the respective Mekong countries by April 26, 2019.
