MI Invites Agri Businesses, Food Processing Companies to 1st Lancang-Mekong Business Forum

Mekong Institute (MI), together with the Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Government of Thailand, is set to host the 1st Lancang-Mekong Business Forum this November 15-16, 2018 at Radisson Blu Plaza, Bangkok, Thailand.

With the theme “Facilitating Agri-business and Investment through Innovations in the Processed Food Sector in the Lancang-Mekong Region”, the two-day event offers a range of activities to establish business linkages, exchange information on state-of-the-art technology and innovations in the processed food sector, and boost investment through collaborations among businesses in the Lancang-Mekong region. Industry leaders and experts will be sharing insights in a one-day seminar, while small and medium enterprises and investors can participate in the business matching and product exhibition to be held in parallel with the seminar. A visit to some model enterprises in Bangkok will also be arranged for some selected participants.

MI is offering full scholarship to 30 private sector participants (companies from Cambodia, P.R. China, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) to cover flight tickets, food, accommodation and other program-related expenses during the event days. A partial scholarship is also offered to Thai companies to support their program-related expenses.

Agro food processing companies, processed food products exporters, machinery & equipment manufacturers and suppliers, R&D centers working in the food sector, agri-business associations, and related organizations are invited to apply.
