MI To Organize International Training on Enhancing Trade Competitiveness for Regional Integration

Mekong Institute (MI), with support from Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), is organizing the International Training Program on “Enhancing Trade Competitiveness for Regional Integration” on December 11-15, 2017 at Mekong Institute, Khon Kaen, Thailand.
The training program will focus on international trade and economic integration, customs modernization, green freight and logistics, and economic zone development. Participants will be introduced to the importance of international trade and free trade agreements and their utilization procedures in regional and international trade as part of the ASEAN economic integration; trade facilitation through customs modernization using the Singapore customs model; the significance of the AEC framework and its 2025 blueprint for promoting regional and international trade; and the development of the logistics industry and economic zones in the ASEAN.
The training program is designed for government officials from relevant Ministries involved in regional and international trade activities and policy development of the ASEAN member-states including Timor Leste.
