Strategic Cooperation Agreements Signing in China

Kunming, China (June 12, 2015) - Mekong Institute (MI) signed three strategic cooperation agreements during the China-South Asia Expo at Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming of China.
MI's new strategic partners in China include: International Business School of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (IBS); Academy of Commerce of Yunnan Province (ACYP); and AP Location Service and Intelligent City Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (APLBSA). These agreements will strengthen the cooperation between MI and partners in China in an effort to further promote capacity building development.
"The agreement signing is a significant step in our cooperation." Speaking at the signing ceremony MI Director Dr. Watcharas Leelawath stated "MI will work together with our partners in a tangible and constructive way on matters of shared interest, and to address some of the needs and concerns of the regional cooperation and integration."
Mekong Institute (MI) is an inter-governmental organization locates in Khon Kaen, Thailand, mandated to promote the regional cooperation through capacity building program. It serves the countries of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS),namely Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam and China's Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
