MI's International Training Course on "Enhancing Entrepreneurship in SME Development and Export Consortia" opens on August 9, 2010

Mekong Institute is organizing the Annual International Training Course on "Enhancing Entrepreneurship in SME Development and Export Consortia" from 09 August - 03 September 2010 at Khon Kaen, Thailand.
The course was officially opened on 9 August by Ms. Veraya Jaru-Ampornpun, Director of Human Resources Development Bureau, Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA).
In her opening speech, Ms. Veraya Jaru-Ampornpun stated that Thailand cherishes and pursues North-South-South cooperation, and has been implementing bilateral cooperation projects with other developing countries. She added that the Royal Thai Government is ready to promote technical cooperation among developing countries under various South-South and North-South modules in order to serve the needs of respective countries.
MI Director, Dr. Suchat Katima, expressed his deep appreciation to TICA for their continuing support of MI's activities, and welcomed the participants to the learning program.
A total of 21 middle and senior level officials and SME entrepreneurs from South Asia and Southeast Asia (including GMS countries), Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands attend the course.
The objective of the course is to develop participants appreciation of the importance and significance of sustainable enterprise development in a national and regional context. It also aims to develop their capacity to formulate more effective enterprise and private sector development strategies in their own countries.
