1. What are MI’s e-Trainings?

MI’s e-trainings are tailored, modular, and interactive internet-enabled learning sessions.

2. Who are eligible to attend MI’s e-Trainings?

The e-trainings are categorized into “Open for Greater Mekong Countries” and “For Target Project Participants.” Greater Mekong country nationals meeting the qualifications and requirements listed in each e-training course are invited to apply, while those who were pre-selected can access information on MI’s registration process under “For Target Project Participants.”

3. How does one apply for an MI e-training course?

Interested applicants must submit requirements identified in each module training within the specified deadline. Please visit the “E-Trainings” page and review the list of e-trainings offered and their respective application process and requirements.

4. How does MI’s e-trainings work?

MI’s e-trainings are a blend of live online sessions and self-paced learning. Participants are provided and guided through PowerPoint presentations, videos, and background reading materials. They are also tasked to take part in simulation exercises, quizzes, and survey forms for interactive, engaged, and responsive sessions. At the completion of each e-training, participants are required to implement action plans in their home countries for continuous learning and knowledge transfer.

5. How are MI’s e-trainings different from the physical trainings it conducted before?

MI’s traditional and e-trainings provide the same service quality and effectiveness. The only difference with the e-training is the platform. MI’s e-training curricula were customized to be user-driven, thus providing flexibility and immediate accessibility to participants.

6. What type of technology must participants have during MI’s e-trainings?

Technology requirements vary according to each MI e-training. Generally, MI will request each participant to have a computer with the following features:

(a) Recent Windows or Mac with office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

(b) A webcam

(c) A headset (or a microphone and speakers)

(d) A reliable internet connection with at least 1.2 Mbps bandwidth

(e) Zoom or Microsoft Team application installed on your device

7. What is the protocol for e-training participants during the online training sessions?

To ensure the smooth flow of the virtual sessions, participants are encouraged to:

(a) Mute the microphone when talking

(b) Turn on video during the training

(c) Use the meeting chat for questions or concerns

(d) Wait for one’s turn until he/she is invited to take the floor

(e) Find a quiet place

(f) Use headset for good sound
