Regional Training Program on Traceability in the Food Chain
Mekong Institute (MI) with support from the New Zealand Aid Programme, will hold a regional training program on “Traceability in the Food Chain” from September 20 to 24, 2021 via online channels.
WORKSHOP BACKGROUND
The training program will provide a background and overview of traceability measures in food safety and trade facilitation, with the aim of strengthening understanding on general food traceability requirements in food laws and for specific food groups; enhancing knowledge on requirements related to traceability for food business operators, and on increasing familiarity in product identification and management of information that facilitates traceability.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS
The training program is open to public and private sector representatives from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Officials with food inspection and certification roles such as GMP, GAP, GHP and Organic Agriculture will find the advanced course beneficial.
