Regional Training Program on Safe Use of Additives in the Food Industry
Mekong Institute, with support from the New Zealand Aid Programme, will hold an online PROSAFE regional training program on Safe Use of Additives in the Food Industry from October 25 to 29, 2021.
TRAINING BACKGROUND
The training program will provide participants various perspectives on the functions and trends of food additives. At the end of the five-day course, they are expected to gain deeper knowledge on safe levels for different food products, as well as broader awareness of current regulations and labeling requirements for higher compliance of food safety benchmarks.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
The training program is open to Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam nationals, who are
- Government employees responsible for food safety risk management and the development of food standards and regulations
- Academic researchers whose focus are on food additives development and their application
- Private sector employees involved in product development, quality assurance/control, and food safety management systems
