Regional Training Program on Food Safety Emergency Management in the Supply Chain

Mekong Institute with support from the New Zealand Aid Programme, will hold a regional training program on “Food Safety Emergency Management in the Supply Chain” from October 18 to 22, 2021 via online channels.

TRAINING BACKGROUND

The training program was designed to increase understanding of FSEM and their relevance to national safety food control systems; provide practical tools and approaches for improving FSEM capability and capacity among CLMV; and present opportunities to apply knowledge and skills in FSEM through the development of food safety emergency response plans or strengthen existing ones.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

The training program is open to Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam nationals, who are

  1. Employees of government agencies, serving as national contact points for INFOSAN and ARASFF
  2. Officers of line agencies and ministries in the provincial or district level with responsibilities in food safety outbreak investigation, notification, and reporting
  3. Employees in the private sector, responsible for quality assurance and food safety management system
