Modular Training Program on Entrepreneurship Development Through E-Commerce Promotion
TRAINING BACKGROUND
Mekong Institute (MI), with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency, is inviting 20 women entrepreneurs and three government officials from the business development service, trade promotion organizations, or related agencies in Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam (CLV) to attend the “Entrepreneurship Development Through E-Commerce Promotion” training from September 13 to November 26, 2021.
The two-week training will consist of the following activities:
Phase I: September 13 to 24, 2021
Online Training Course (via Zoom)
Phase II: September 27 to November 24, 2021
Action Plan Implementation, as follows:
- Trade Promotion Officers: Organize national workshops
- Women Entrepreneurs: Develop export e-market plans in CLV within seven weeks after the training
Phase III: November 24 to 26, 2021
Online Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop
Report progress and results, as well as exchange best practices
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
Implemented under the “Market Access Through E-Commerce Promotion for Women-Led SMEs,” project, the training aims to enhance the capacities of women entrepreneurs in accessing business opportunities in the global market, including the Republic of Korea. The training also includes sessions catered to government officials of trade promotion organizations to better support women-led SME representatives.
By the end of the training program, the following are expected outcomes:
1) Expanded businesses through the identification of export market opportunities
2) Improved quality and range of support services of trade promotion agencies

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
A total of 23 participants from Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam will be selected. They will comprise of the following: 20 women entrepreneurs, who represent various business sectors, and three government officials from the business development service, trade promotion organizations, or related ministries.
APPLICAtion PROCESS
Interested applicants must complete and submit the online application form on September 6, 2021 at 5:00 pm (Thailand Time).
In addition, he/she must upload a (1) profile photo, (2) passport or national ID copy, and (3) letter of consent, if the applicant is a business owner or organization leader, or (4) letter of recommendation from an employer, stating consent of applicant's participation, if he/she is a staff of a company or organization.
